The Nile River is the longest river in the world. This river is about 4000 mile from East Africa to the Mediterranean sea. The river offered advantages and this advantages to the Egyptians. The disadvantages were that only once a year the river would flood leaving the land fertile so farmers had to make the calculations as when it was going to flood to prepare. However the advantages were that the land was big enough to farm so the Egyptians could produce more than needed food to trade.
